The Kresge Foundation
The foundation offers challenge grants only for building construction or renovation projects, major capital equipment or an integrated system at a cost of at least $300,000. Current initiatives include: Partnership to Raise Community Capital; Detroit Initiative, to encourage and develop programs and projects that help revitalize the city; and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Initiative.
